Quick rundown of the kit, basically two parts. On the abrasive side where we focus on removing heavy marks and scratches and get to the 300 grit finish. From the 300 grit, we can them work through three polishing processes for a bright mirror finish. Important you do not have to use all the processes in the kit, it will depend on the condition.
The abrasive compound is an old method for abrasive work, it is a glue/abrasive mix that can be melted onto a polishing wheel then left to dry (can take several hours). I would say yes it takes some time to coat and dry but it is a very flexible abrasive method. It can be coated on the blue denim mops and on the smaller felt wheels. I would advise especially when coating small items to take a small quantity of abrasive compound inside a sealed plastic bag which can then be dropped into hot water, this will melt the glue making it easier to apply.
