We stock a selection of grits in AZ Zirconia belts 40, 60, 80 and 120 grit.

AZ blue are a standard zirconia belt, an excellent price/quality balanced industrial belt.  They work well on hard metals.

The ceramics are well suited when you need maximum cut on tough materials, they are well suited to knife-making applications or when you need to remove very hard material faster. They also wear better than the blue zirconia, which comes at a price.

We still have a range of brown belts, brown belts are aluminium oxide belts and can used on all metals they are more suited to softer metals such as aluminium/brass copper and some softer steels. On hard metals, they will not last or cut like a ceramic or blue zirconia belt.

Brown belts do work fine on harder materials on finer grits so for many applications 180 grit + this is why you see Blue Zirconia and Ceramic Belts stop after 120 grit
